The Crescendos

The Crescendos were a very popular band in the early 60s consisting of L to R…Leo Cornet (bass) Ron Mayer (drums), Ken Mehrer (guitar), Don Patterson (guitar) and Mel Stenhouse (sax). The vocalists were Gary Ulrich and Sharon Graham. The poster was sponsored by Fleming’s Music House, which was the biggest, and really the only record shop in Medicine Hat in the late 50s and early 60s. Once a year Mabel Fleming would sell off all the 45s that failed to sell during the year for 10 cents each, a sale well worth waiting for.  ( McMorrans Musicland on 3rd Street later sold records as well.)
