In the late 50s there was a talent contest on CHAT Radio sponsored by Pet Instant Milk. One of the contestants on the Pet Milk talent contest was a young Elgin Mann who wound up winning the contest in about 1958. The contestants performed live in the CHAT radio studios on First Street ( see the microphone) and would be broadcast live on the radio .   See above for the lineup of players.
